Pussy Riot was born on Summer 2004 when Katerina and Anastasia met Luisa. The three girls were soon on the same wavelength and began to play in some music pubs and festival.



Pussy Riot is inspired by the nineties Riot Grrrl movement, but they are always searching for more aggressive and modern sounds. Pussy Riot’s songs are prickly and they convey inner suffering into a mixture of hysterical and distorted screams together with dissonant sounds.



The band recorded its first official demo “ThisTroy” on September 2006. It contains 4 songs and it’s recorded in Pussy Riot’s Country Club by the care and assistance of some friends.



Actually Pussy Riot are in a stand-by moment because of the distance between band members.



“We are sorry but is a very difficult period for us so we aren’t working to make some new material or to play and organize live concerts for now.

We hope to start again as soon as possible.
