Piney Gir
Piney Gir celebrates her new album, The Yearling. Utterly original, relying wildly on melody and the craft of true song writing, The Yearling is her 3rd album and is her most mature and accomplished offering to date. Layers of lush Morricone-esque strings, a gospel choir, singing saw, woodwinds, straight to the bop pop, a harp, a theremin, a cat named Halo, 1970’s FM radio, a bus driver, faux shipping forcasts, bossa nova jazz, Roy Rogers’ vocal stylings, a Bad Seed’s bike, witching hour spells, vocal crooning of Eamon Hamilton from Brakes, lions and tigers and bears. these are a few of my favourite things! Piney's tour of The Yearling will be a fascinating translation of this pop extravaganza to the live stage.

Race Horses This Welsh quartet is creating a lot of excitement and it's easy to see why: it comes from the excitement they create on stage. With roots in grooving 60's rock like the Beach Music scene and the Seeds filtered through the Velvets, Serge Gainsburg and early Pink Floyd, we have a medium-fi, tightly rocking band that plays songs songs songs. What a great idea!

Barefoot Dance Of The Sea
Three women in love with the romance and innocence of everything from early girl groups like Patience and Prudence to French chanson to classical music combine in vocal harmony and minimal but beautiful piano-cello-guitar accompaniment to touch your heart.
