PURE affection, are 3 sisters from North London, UK.

Shameena (25), Shareena (23) and Farah (21) have been performing for the past 9 years.



With their mother from the Philippines and their father from Guyana (S. America), they are able to present a different appeal to the music industry.



Formed in 1997, they started performing at small events, such as Birthdays, Christenings, Communions, and Festivals, not long after they soon became involved with the urban music scene showcases.



Having performed at the Hard Rock Cafe (London) and the Dorchester Hotel (Mayfair) alongside the Cheeky Girls, PURE affection have definitely built up a grounded and impressive list of performances.



The girls got involved in the second biggest talent contest in the UK, SABA UK UNISIGNED, they entered the singer/songwriter category and got to the semi-finals.



Performing at the Brent Cross Shopping Centre in London every Christmas is a regular slot for the girls. Hosted by the presenter of MTV Base Lounge, Darae Palmer, who also had a huge input with their first EP.



The girls went through 4 years of being tied down to contracts, where management were promising deals and performances, which never happened, it came to a point where the girls needed to take matters into their own hands.



The result of them doing this, they were able to produce their first official photo-shoot and record their first EP.



PURE affection have just finished the EP, consisting of 4 tracks, produced by Smoove entertainment, their music is very diverse but original. Keeping on the pop/rnb music genres, PURE affection highlight the elements of good commercial music.



Their main ambition is to establish themselves within the music industry. Having finished their first 4 track EP, they are excited about recording the next.



They entered the Popworld Promotes (Channel 4) in June 2006, where they reached number 3 in the charts, the public voted by texting or downloading their song, which was a great achievement, especially becasue it was recognition from the buying public!!.



Not long after, staff at Popworld contacted them regarding Sugar Magazine, a teen magazine in the UK. They were picked out of 1500 bands from the Popworld Promotes charts to be featured in the August 2006 edition of the magazine where they were the only girl group competing out of 12 altogether.



Their main ambition is to become successful recording artiststhey are in talks and awaiting a record contract!!.
