Puppy Love recording co. is an indie label from Göteborg, Sweden. The past year, however, we've been more busy arranging clubs at Kontiki.

Puppy Love brings you four bands from this part of the world. This is how it sounds to be us. Each band makes pretty intense music and we wish to make it possible for you to hear it sometime. None of the artists sound anything like the others. We're not Service. These are the artists:

CHILDREN COME ON - In the great chain of British pop music, CCO chase the feeling of Saturday night down neon-lit avenues. They roar down the street, while singer Fredrik Corander tears his heart out for all the world to see. KANDAHAR - Singer/songwriter Anders Goransson makes pop music in the spirit of his heroes Elton John and Randy Newman, but with a personal touch. Kandahar observes and reflects upon childhood, dreams and Swedish society. MY CLOSEST FRIEND - The songwriting of Daniel Skoglund and Gustav Svedung, combined with the other members' unique playing, has brought MCF to the outskirts of pop and electronica. "Total despair has never sounded more beautiful" /casino, sr p4. RAMBLING NICHOLAS HERON - With hundreds of songs in his suitcase and a guitar in his hands, RNH truly belongs to the tradition of singer/songwriting. Still, a lot of self-distance is always kept, which is kind of unusual in the genre. With the help of his friends, he sings tales about growing up and growing old, the sea, the sky, whaling ships, love, birds, trees, brats, dreams, and other stuff he finds interesting.

WE`RE VERY HAPPY TO SAY THAT.

.Ramblin Nicholas Heron just released "Here in Dreamland" on Valiant Death, US. This is what they say about it.

On his newest record Rambling James Heron places himself firmly in the center of the Swedish indie-pop movement. His song “As If I Didn’t Know It” from his US debut, Here In Dreamland, has all the hallmarks of perfect indie-pop a la Herman Dune, I’m From Barcelona and Billie The Vision and Dancers. This is an autobiographical ditty about postering gigs, visiting the music shop and being befuddled by a girl. Musically it’s got that jangly guitar we all love, some whistling and what sounds like a flute. The laughter at the end is the clincher for me!

The new records out on Valiant Death in the US so let’s all thank them by purchasing this 15 track 53 minute dynamo for only $5 here.
