.beeing around since 1997 they released their first demo "For those who are true" which was sold out within a few month.



Through the extremely positive reactions national and international "For those who are true" was repressed and PUNCHLINE joined forces and released a split-cd with viennas one and only PERMANENT STYLE.



Their third release was also their 1st full-length named "Keep your friends close" (released by Burnside Rec. and Keep the spirit alive Rec.) which earned a lot of attention in Austria, across the borders and overseas.



After entering the studio once again in early 2005 PUNCHLINE recorded their 2nd full-length named "Underground Loyalty" - reflecting their love&passion for heartcore music.



Also several samplers have their name on them ("A sign of friendship"-sampler vol.I+II for example) plus several Compilations from all over the world. Not to forget, the "Tribute to the Rykers"-sampler (Martial music) will be released in a few month where PUNCHLINE performed

"Stranglehold".



Especially their live-performance proved its potential throughout the last

11 years! PUNCHLINEs live qualities are undisputed - thats what you here everywhere theyve crushed a stage. especially in Germany,Slovenja, Italy, Switzerland and of course Austria.



Within the years the scene changed a lot - so did PUNCHLINE and certain

attitudes got pushed to another level. now its not only screamin' about

personal problems, friendship and unity anymore - a lot of political, anti-economical and enviromental problems grew into PUNCHLINEs

lyrics. the aggression, brutality, honesty and love to the hardcore-music

and -movement behind this band is the main reason why this band still lives

in the same line-up all these years AND their pissed-off, honest anger is

the reason why these 5 guys still deliver most brutal live-performances.



In December 06 Leiti the bassplayer decided to quit the band after 7 years.the band decided to hook up with the one and only MAUSER (ex-coming first) a.k.a Mausferatu,Hans Mauser,Jesus von Mauseret a.s.o.Definately hes the perfect puzzle piece fitting in this chaotic bunch of bastards



2008 there will be a new album coming out which theyre all asured that this masterpiece will be the best theyve done so far!released by Willi and CLASSWAR RECORDS!!!!!



Its a plain hardcoreband releasing their pain, anger and hate with their

releases and their shows.
