1995 Psychotron founds
1996 PSYCHOTRON record their first demo-tape which gets excellent reviews worldwide.
1997 PSYCHOTRON work on new material and solve their current line-up problems.
1998 PSYCHOTRON play a lot of gigs in whole Germany with bands like SACRED STEEL, SOUL DEMISE, PERSONAL WAR, RED TO GREY, FINAL CRY.
1999 PSYCHOTRON release their first full length CD "Chaos Cosmic Time" which gets very good reviews in magazines and fanzines worldwide. In June the band breaks up with guitarist Andi Konstandaras (now SPIRAL TOWER) because of personal reasons.
2000 The PSYCHOTRON-Website is online. PSYCHOTRON play many gigs with DIE APOKALYPsTISCHEN REITER, SOUL DEMISE, BLACKEND, FINAL CRY, DEADLY SIN, FINAL BREATH, SOMNIFERE, EISREGEN, BURDEN OF GRIEF, THOUGHTSPHERE etc.
2001 PSYCHOTRON complete the line-up with Kai Huissel on lead-guitar. A PSYCHOTRON track is featured on Heavy, oder was!? Magazine - "Metal Crusade Pt. 2" compilation. The band plays gigs with SHYLOCK, ENCRYPTION, MADOG, FROM THY ASHES and more.
2002 Gigs in Germany and abroad are played with TWISTED TOWER DIRE, THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG, BOTTOM (New York), MADOG, etc. PSYCHOTRON record the next album “Open the Gate”.
2003 PSYCHOTRON enter the stage on several festivals and at some club shows with bands like DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, PUNGENT STENCH, SOUL DEMISE, SACRED STEEL, MY DARKEST HATE, FINAL BREATH, SKYCLAD, BURDEN OF GRIEF, NIGHT IN GALES, SATANIC
2003 In August PSYCHOTRON signed to the German label Generation Records, which wanted to release the new CD "Open The Gate" worldwide.
2004In March PSYCHOTRON split with their label Generation Records and released "Open The Gate" again self-financed. Positive resonances in magazines worldwide. PSYCHOTRON are in the studio to record their third output "Pray For Salvation". The mix and mastering was done by R.D. Liapakis (MYSTIC PROPHECY, VALLEYS EVE).
2005 PSYCHOTRON support bands like ILLDISPOSED, FINAL BREATH, ANCIENT, CONTRADICTION and OVERKILL. A record deal with the greek label SLEASZY RIDER Records is signed. The label wants to release "Pray For Salvation" worldwide through EMI Greece.
2006 PSYCHOTRON part ways with bassist Frank "Mampf" Herold. Sebastian "Bass-T" Schult (ex-ATROCITY, TEABAG, FROM THY ASHES) is enlisted to play the upcoming shows. Drummer and founding member Gert Kopf quits PSYCHOTRON due to personal reasons. Mats Kurth (ex-Might of Lillith, Coronatus and Illuminate) fills the vacant slot for the upcoming shows.
2007 “Pray For Salvation” is released officially. After long time search, Psychotron find a new practise room, but this is just a temporary alternative because the location is too small. They work on new material and rehearse for drummers and bassists to fill the vacant slots. By the end of 2007 the new man behind the drums is Stefan Dittrich (Crisis Never Ends, ex-Saidian). Psychotron play their Banging the X-Mas Tree Festival with Stefan Dittrich and Martin Albrecht from Mystic Prophecy as temporary help on bass.
2008 Stefan decides to leave Psychotron and join Mystic Prophecy on their European Tour as permanent member. Psychotron starts rehearsing again to find a drummer. In the middle of 2008 Psychotron have been joined by Chris Fuchs on drums. He is a good old friend of the band and even played with two of the original members years back before they founded Psychotron. So it felt like a family member returned. As a matter of fact Psychotron have moved again.
The bands style: PSYCHOTRON blend melodic Power Metal with the aggression of Thrash Metal and traditional elements. Comparisons to TESTAMENT, NEVERMORE and ICED EARTH have been drawn frequently.
2009 After Renovating their Practiceroom Psychotron work hard with their new drummer Chris to complete a setlist and of course new material. After the split with the former members Psychotron decide to play even more progressive stuff which fits very well to their style. The first new songs are killer and Psychotron cant wait to record their new material. After all Psychotron still search for a Bassist to fill the vacant slot.
