The Prototype

Ripping through the stereotypes, MC Prototype is a prime example of the positive hip-hop movement that is gaining strength in Southern California's Inland Empire. Hailing from the city of Ontario, this poet and performer exudes both soulfulness and joy. Def Poetry meets Def Comedy Jam. Add a reputation for his dose-of-humor and charismatic performances and you have MC Prototype.
While his Proto 4 Paid Dues campaign was a success, MC Prototype isn't slowing down. In April 2010 he released The Ones Overlooked EP. The Ones Overlooked spins tales of those ignored, the homeless, the migrant worker and the elderly. Keeping his style to calling it as he sees it, MC Prototype's eight track EP is full of catchy hooks and clever lyrics that touch on such serious topics with hints of humor. Think clever hooks of Andre 3000 with the story telling of Shel Silverstein.
In 2011, MC Prototype not only plans to continue performing as both an MC and Spoken-Word artist, but also run Audible Mechanix - Creative Syndicate, and independent label he co-founded with Komboa.
