More fun than an apple hidden in a box of razor blades, Austin based Pretty Pretty has been surprising crowds since 2003 with their sleazy sense of humor and a southern eeriness reminiscent of the Dicks and AC/DC. Jerry Howard (guitar/vocals) plays like Neil Young on a gallon of whiskey, with a singing voice like his irate Pentecostal grandmother. Chris McMillan (bass/vocals) anchors the bottom end with fuzzed-out fury and danceable disco runs. Where Jerry shears the heads off audiences with his leather lung blasts, Chris counters with twangy honky tonk crooning and sweet lullaby screams. Ky Williams (drums) keeps the rocking hearse rolling like a half sized David Lovering swiped from a punk rock burlesque house orchestra.

With guitarist/singer Jerry Howard often behind a film camera, Pretty Pretty stands as a highly visual band. Not only did they perform a showcase during the Rank and Revue's "Red River Rockout Music Festival", Jerry's short film Grandpa's Lap (featuring all three group members) won infamously rave reviews when shown at the Red River Rockout Film Festival. Jerry is currently working on a new short film inspired by Pretty Pretty's #1 crowd pleasing song, Skullfucking. Obviously and awkwardly at home in Austin's freakshow Red River scene, Pretty Pretty has shared stages with great bands like Captured! By Robots, Tia Carerra, Amplified Heat, HONKY, Castle Siege, Ghostland Observatory, TOOF, Hit By A Car, Games & Theory, Blackholicus, Ghetto Princess, Mala Suerte, and many more. Pretty Pretty is currently recording their first full length album, due Spring 2007. In support of the new record, Pretty Pretty will take their annual Easter EGG-Stravaganza! show on a regional tour throughout the latter half of the upcoming Lenten season.
