The OLD story.

We have all heard the story how the girl meets the boy. In Finland Jytt met four boys and wanted all of them. They became Pornorphans. In 1998 M&E (the worlds biggest independent tape label, based in England) released Pornorphans' first two demos.

After toning down the progressive side and diving into the darkest corners of the soul, Org records from London became the friend in need. Org released Pornorphans songs on several compilations and four tracks on an album (with Dolium, Sunlounger and Cheese Cake Truck) called "Four slices just because".

Soon London based State of Decay came with an offer they had no reason to refuse. After spending January 2002 at Balfour studios in London with producer Mark Wallis (Travis, U2 etc) the debut album "Beyond good and Evil" was born. It got brilliant reviews in magazines like Metal Hammer and Kerrang! and in fall 2002 it was time to start the first major tour abroad. When Pornorphans headlined their first U.K-tour, which was sponsored by Metal Hammer, the album "Beyond Good and Evil" was re-released. (First edition was sold out in July 2002 in the U.K alone)

After the successful 4-week tour Pornorphans came out with the video Filthmaster that was instantly banned in the UK for its content (by KerrangTV amongst others). In the beginning of 2003 "Beyond Good and Evil" was distributed to Finland and Russia by Sony and Sound Pollution helped the disease to spread across Scandinavia. The album was played by all major radio stations and got fantastic reviews in the major magazines. Unsuspecting Finns even aired the banned video on national TV many times. Before the summer Pornorphans toured with Katatonia in Finland and was the mainsupporter on Katatonia's UK tour as well. After returning home Pornorphans concentrated on writing new material. But after two years with State of Decay the company was shot down.

In spring 2005 Pornorphans released the single Mu$ic (incl. WTO, Candy Factory and radio edit). The infamous chorus ” Music is my prostitute, it’s my whore, so fucking pay me” was heard live the last time in autumn 2005.

The NEW story:

After years of dealing with the slime in the industry the main song writers and visionaries Jytt and Janne decided it was time to see what else the world had to offer. They left for Asia. Only Janne returned in May 2006.

In December 2006 Janne and The Informer (loyal side kick) decided to use the internet to spread out for free all Pornorphans has ever created. All music, pictures, Jytt’s writings etc. for anyone to despise or enjoy. The Orphanage is now a place of creative exploitation and a home Jytt can return to whenever she wants to. It’s time to take the $ out of Music!
