Polly Paulusma started playing her guitar- and piano-based songs on London's acoustic circuit in 2001 and never looked back. She was half-way through making her first album at home in her shed when uber-indie label One Little Indian signed her in 2003. The resulting debut, Scissors In My Pocket, came out in the UK in April 2004 to widespread critical acclaim.
Since then she has supported Bob Dylan, The Divine Comedy, Jamie Cullum, Coldplay, Marianne Faithfull, Josesph Arthur, Jane Siberry and played hundreds of her own shows across the UK, America and Italy, where she has loyal fanbases. Fans tattoo themselves with her lyrics and make home-made booze for her and her band.
A third album is in its infancy, along with a feature film soundtrack (www.clearlakemovie.com).
