Playane is a musical project created by Italian dj/ producer Angelo Marrocco. The name is a mix of such words as plain', plane, playa, plan, plein, pleiades, concepts that you will always find in his tracks! His sound could be sometimes housey and happy, sometimes mellow and dreamy. Sometimes even dark and foggy since, after all, there's a sound for every moment and every mood. – Playane sound transmits to the listener elements like energy, fun and traveling atmospheres.
From very early on Angelo was fascinated by the magic of music and the world of djs. He bought his first record at 10. At 12 he was an assistant dj of a local radio station program. At 15 he already had his own radio show playing records he collected during his summer study holidays in London. At 17 he was resident in a club called Hypnosis, an underground club of the early 90s, where he mainly played trance and techno. A few years later he had the opportunity to play a few gigs abroad at a club called The Big Chill in London, as well as at the famous Mazzo club in Amsterdam. From then on Angelo has been active in the underground music scene of his hometown Salerno, collaborating in many projects related not only to club sounds but also to more experimental stuff.
In the last 10 years Playane has performed at many different parties and venues and he has been resident in the main venues of his hometown.Now as a freelance dj he regularly spins in clubs and festivals around Italy and Europe.
He has supported djs like: Len Faki (Podium), Marco Carola (Domino), Ellen Allien (Bpitch), Smash TV (Bpitch), Alex Smoke (Vakant), Yapacc (Perlon), Anja Schneider (Mobilee), Dapayk (Mosferryprod), Rino Cerrone (Rilis), Krikor (Tigersushi) and Danilo Vigorito (Orionmuzik), just to name a few.
As a producer Playane has released on, among others, Autist recs, Pild recs, Malatoid recs, Empro Music, Sunplay recs, Recycle recs and remixed artists such as Boris Brejcha, Urss & Dich and Doctor Trash.
