"Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous?"
well. sort of
There is only one person on Earth that can claim to have been arrested in Atlantic City, performed in Las Vegas, and rode every ride at Disney World in the same week, get yelled at for hoisting the Stanley Cup while crashing a party at a billionaire's estate, been to have handpicked and signed by arguably the greatest rapper of all-time, Jay-Z.
That's Pittsburgh Slim.
From couch surfing to hanging out with Hollywood's elite, Pittsburgh Slim truly lives the fun life most teenagers dream of. Slim is the picture book example of how to have fun without being rich or famous.
The story begins in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After rocking some of the wildest shows the city had ever seen, opening for some of rap music's biggest stars including Nelly, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, and Ludacris, the west coast was calling. Next stop, Hollywood, California.
Only in LA could you find a melting pot full of models, millionaires, broke actors, porn stars, athletes, and musicians. Slim began a life of crashing parties, courting actresses, overindulging on champagne, sleeping in studios, and shaking off hangovers. In search of an audience as crazy and colorful as himself, the Sunset Strip turned out to be the perfect destination. It was here that he hooked up and worked with musical cult legends like Mickey Avalon, Andre Legacy, MTV's Simon Rex a.k.a Dirt Nasty, Cisco Alder, Schwayze, and LMFAO.
He had to work hard, but being surrounded by stars hadn't made him one yet. Following an action-packed stay in the City of Angels, he landed in Manhattan.
Hip Hop Legends Camp Lo and Super Producer Ski Beatz (Jay-Z's debut album, Reasonable Doubt) showed him the ropes in The Big Apple and began working on the project that would elevate Slim's career to the next level. Soon Jay-Z personally signed Pittsburgh Slim to Def Jam, where he released the billboard chart topper, "Girls Kiss Girls" and his first major label album release, Tastemaker.
Now Pittsburgh has come home to Pittsburgh to collaborate with an old friend on his next project and to reconnect with the city that raised him. He is currently working with Producer E. Dan and ID Labs, the musical masterminds that produced the platinum debut albums from Pittsburgh Hip Hop Megastars Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. Their 1st mix tape project is scheduled to be released mid April, 2012.
