"Pine & Battery is one of those bands that draw you in. They are super serious about melody but make it seem effortless." - Renee Richardson, KFOG SF Radio station 104.5
"Something tells you upon first listening to Pine & Battery that the San Francisco band has a good shot at a meteoric rise. They have a sureness of foot and level of musicianship that other bands at similar stages in the game just don't. Not to mention that they also write incredibly catchy tunes." -East Bay Express
".their music is vitally packed with a thunderous amount of rocking instruments. So while they're a unique band on paper, their music is the kind that you jam out to and sing along to.
Through these eight songs ("Pine & Battery 2"), you find varying amounts of thrills. There's the fact that it's soaked in guitar-heavy riffs that even after so much, you still feel a certain amount of longing."- Adequacy.net Indie Music Reviews
"In a current mainstream music climate that views each new song as a disposable commodity, solid musicianship is hard to come by. Which is why it is so refreshing to hear Pine & Battery's new album, "2".
From start to finish, "2" is a solid listening experience which makes me wish there were more bands like Pine & Battery, who actually release statements with substance." - The Deli Online Music MagazineLINKS:

Pine and Battery, or P&B as they are known, is the band that you won't soon forget. Formed in 2005 in the San Francisco Bay Area, P&B features Philly native Jeff Campbell (vocals, guitar), Andy Weller (lead guitar, backing vocals), Rick Munoz (drums) and AJ Leighton (bass), Together they have produced three albums of stellar songwriting, instantly catchy hooks and unforgettable melodies with a level of musicianship and creativity that make you want to listen again and again From Campbell's beautifully raspy vocals to Weller's soaring guitar work, the unrelenting groove laid down by Munoz and the impressive bass playing of Leighton, P&B refuses to disappoint. Their music has garnered them praise and accolades from fans and critics alike and has gained them the attention of SF radio giants such as KFOG FM and 107.7 The Bone, the latter of which is currently featuring their newest single "A Flag to Fly" in their rotation. Their newest collection of material, a five song EP entitled "Daylights" released in July 2012, is the bands most collaborative effort to date. It's hard to imagine how people with such different musical tastes could have come together and written some of the most exciting and honest music in recent memory. The band is currently touring the West Coast to support this new release and will venture East before the year is out.
Pine and Battery leaves a lasting impression of what is best about music. Honesty, integrity and no b.s. It's nothing more or less than four guys, playing their instruments (and each others instruments), writing songs and doing it their way.
Says Steve Palopoli of SanJose.com: ""The '90s revival is well on its way to kicking the '80s revival out on its ass, and with no end of melodic guitar lines and angsty yet smooth vocals that defined alternapop. San Francisco's Pine and Battery are doing their part. "
