Born Phillip De'Leon Hayes Jr. in a family of seven, P Floata is the Father of a beautiful baby boy, forced to juggle between life and death while steadily struggling to insure that his son will never inherit the misfortunes placed upon him. To sum up his childhood, Floata moved ten times before the age of 15, began smoking, drinking, and engaging in sexual practices and other adult behavior before the age of 12, became a Father before successfully completing high school, and began rapping and producing music before the age of 8. With that said, it is easy to assume that the young urban hustler turned rapper has been through his fair share of ups and downs.

P Floata has evolved from an underground, high school based battle rapper dubbed Wize Poet (otherwise known as Young Poet or simply put, Poet) to a highly lyrical and polished, yet street savvy southern force to be reckoned. To set himself apart from other rappers, Floata has developed an utterly flawless flow smooth as Hennessey, accompanied by a deeply rooted southern drawl and a dying hunger for money.

A proven leader, Floata has single handedly founded and fore-fronted the most successful underground record label to plant its roots in the North side of Atlanta. P Floata's Gwinnett-based label, Money Hungry, consists of rappers from all over the southern region of the US, as well as DJ's, in-house graphic teams, promotional teams, producers, and so on and so forth. The label has released 5 independent albums totaling near 600,000 copies sold worldwide. A huge acclamation for an independent label backed by a handful of 20-somethings.

P Floata has worked and performed with such artists as Hitman Sammy Sam, Maceo, T.I., Jody Breeze, Gucci Mane, Princess (of Crime Mobb), Big Gee, Cheeto Gambine, Prophet (of Mississippi), and many more.

In the near future, P Floata and his Money Hungry Movement look to release their debut film, titled "A Hustler's Dictionary", as well as a street/urban based clothing line, titled "Moolah", in the summer of 2008. But sooner releases will include the much awaited release of P Floata's newest record, titled "M.O.E.: Money Over Everything", along with cuts from other Money Hungry Familia such as Deuces Wild (a Florida based trio), and Chucky (another one of Florida's heavyweight's).

With the film, clothing line, and albums soon to hit a street near you, P Floata's future seems to be a promising one. So in the words of P Floata himself, "GET MONEY OR KILL YOSELF!"
