All songs Produced by Peter Parker on a ReVox G-36 Tape Machine (1963) with Lenny George on Bass and Sakura Mori on Drums. All songs written by Peter Parker. Peter Parker's Rock 'n' Roll Club followed in the footsteps of The Rolling Stones and recorded their first album in the basement of the former Regent Sounds Studio this summer on vintage equipment including the same type of ReVox tape machine used by The Rolling Stones on their first album. Peter's vocals were recorded through the same actual 100w Douglas PA system owned and used by The Small Faces in the early 60's. Three early 60's ribbon microphones powered by a Vortexion pre-amp were used, including two Grundigs to capture the band, and one Rezlo to capture Peter's vocals going through the Douglas PA.
Peter's 480 Rickenbacker guitar was playing through a Marshall 1974x, Lenny's Epiphone EB232 Rivoli bass was playing through a Marshall 1959 Superlead guitar amp and Sakura's drums consisted only of a Ludwig 400 snare and 20" maple bass drum. The album was recorded in a single take onto one track in just over twenty minutes! Then to take full advantage of both of the two tracks on the tape machine, Peter employed the ReVox's famous synthetic echo technique on the other track and both tracks were mastered into double mono by Ray Staff at Air Mastering. ROCKS is a new film by Enrique Rovira in which the band make their screen debut and provide the music for the soundtrack.
