He makes affecting, bold electronic music using walls of synths, lustrous melodies and amorphous bass rumbles. As such his two albums have seen him labelled by the likes of ambient patriarch Brian Eno as an electronic innovator while an impressive sweep of artists from Herbie Hancock and David Holmes to King Creosote and Coldplay, have called upon his handiwork as a producer and composer. In fact, Coldplay were so taken with Light Through the Veins - which is earmarked as the first single from Hopkins’ new album Insides - that they used a reworked version to bookend last year's bestselling Viva La Vida and persuaded the 28-year-old Londoner to spend the last six months of 2008 opening their live shows across the USA and Europe.Read more.Experiencing Echaskech play live will re-define your expectations of what an electronic act can achieve in a performance. Their unique style of melodic dance rhythms blend a spectrum of flavours from the warm chord progressions of Brian Eno and Ulrich Shnauss to the filthy subs of Modeselektor, all strung together with in a seamlessly building set that is seductive and uplifting to the point of air punching euphoria. Their real-time mixing and structuring from sequenced parts has lead to a set often compared with the finest moments of Orbital live. This has given the site its’ freestyle music policy, taking in broken beats, grime, deep house, techno, hip hop, funk, soul, disco and all points between. A sound described by Paddy himself as Future Soul Music for the dance floor.Read more.Universal VibesMatt MastersFinding a love for house music at an early age, Matt Masters began a work experience placement at Freerange Records in 2004 and spent his first season in Ibiza as resident DJ for Kinky Malinki, Pukka Up and SunSea Bar. During the season he appeared at many venues including Privilege, El Divino and Es Paradis. Matt has played alongside Switch, Hipp-E, Milton Jackson Jimpster, Palmskin, Mike Monday, Nacho Marco, Fish Go Deep, Kirk Degiorgio and Shur-I-Kan at the London Freerange Records label parties. He has also appeared at the Sonar Music Festival in Barcelona and the Garden Festival in Croatia.******************************************Since it's launch 10 years ago, Ableton has transformed the concept of live performance for electronica artists and DJs alike, with adopters including Richie Hawtin and Sasha, and is now ubiquitous in clubland and beyond. To mark this decade, Ableton and Novation have teamed up with club promoters Peepshow to celebrate with a series of parties 'Peepshow Innovations', at Jamm on Brixton Road, London.Costing just £5, Peepshow Innovations guarantees good times whilst showcasing how some of the most exciting electronic acts in the business use Ableton Live and Novation controllers. And the party vibe is all set with live sets from legendary AV pioneers Hexstatic, Coldplay collaborator Jon Hopkins, and the 'new Orbital' Echaskech.Plus DJ sets from Freerange Records' Matt Masters and every self respecting festival's favourite Paddys - Paddy Freeform or Universal Records, and the Disco Shed's Peepshow Paddy and the Ableton Allstars!Buy tickets

I've moved the boring bit no-one ever reads where you try and make yourself sound cool and interesting (a tough job when you're me) over to the left, making more valuable space for whoring around my DJ residencies in this bit. But, if by some remarkable twist of fate, or more likely because you're exceptionally bored, and you do actually want to read about me and my DJing career thus far, read over there! 8-)

There are a few videos on youtube of me in action below, starting with one of me in my favourite venue anywhere on the planet - the disco shed at the Big Chill in 2006. Thanks to everyone involved in making it, classic times indeed. Enjoy!

And the one below is from Secret Garden Party in 2007, man that was a fun gig!

In the Disco Shed again, back at the Big Chill, 2008

And this is me interviewed in the Disco Shed live on BBC3 by Rufus Hound, at the Reading Festival, August 2007 (after the Table Tennis!).

About Peepshow

Having been billed as the best club in the South in the Guardian, 4th best night in the land in DJ Magazine, and as "Oxford's most inventive and eclectic dance club night" in the Oxford music press, Peepshow now brings it’s unique party vibe to the capital.

The club has an eclectic music policy, expect to hear anything from the funkier end of the musical spectrum, taking in electro, techno, drum n bass, deep house, latin, breaks, hip-hop and pretty much anything else along the way.

Resident DJ and promoter Peepshow Paddy first brought acts such as Mylo, Ulrich Schnauss, Freeform Five and Hexstatic to Oxford and earned a reputation for finding the best talent on the local electronic music scene. His funky and eclectic up-tempo DJ sets have gained him coverage in the national media and ensured he is a popular fixture on the festival circuit, having played annually at the Big Chill, Truck, and Reading festivals, amongst others.

Expect a quality party vibe, with great music from across the board.
