Pavimento started in the same month and year that A.N.I.M.A.L. visited Guayaquil, August 1998. Many people passed through, all of them good friends, but Pavimento didn't receive it's signature sound until Chris and Tuliko joined the band. We wanted to thank Union Punk for the helping hand in getting our name out, and booking us in every show they promoted; though we might not show how grateful we are all the time, we wanted to take this opportunity to show our gratitude. U.P rules!!!!!!! We have played with the following bands, whom we respect and admire: Camisa De Fuerza, Komo La Tusa, Desorden, G.O.E, 69 Segundos, Marca ACME, Nunca Jamas, Combo Burger, 911 (Colombia), Green Day, NOFX, Metallica, Megadeth, yeah right we wish.
About us as individuals though, we are both simple and down to earth. We ride around the city hoping to find something to do, but the road always seems to lead back to one of our houses, and we realize "We didn't get mugged!" (always a plus). We drink and smoke when the time is right. or not. Music is the easiest way we know to express ourselves, plus it keeps our asses outta bullshit. The events in our lives, both good and bad, get turned into frequencies our fans can enjoy while giving us the outlet to deal with them. Hope you enjoy our ups and downs. Punxxx
