Typically, Patrick doesn't do anything by halves; as you would expect from a man whose first professional job was on Soul Train as a backing dancer for Whitney Houston, and who soon after became one of Michael Jackson's featured dancers in the film 'Moonwalker'. Enjoying a very successful career in TV, dance and choreography, Patrick has also supported the hip hop legend Tupac Shakur on stage in LA.
Such achievements early in his career have set the pace for Patrick, who was honoured to be personally invited to join 'The Drifters' and perform with the legendary Johnny Moore. Patrick say's "Working with Johnny was amazing and I learned so much!"
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Patrick Alan creates an inimitable blend of R&B, Soul and Pop. Born into a musical family in St Louis, USA (the home of the blues), but raised in Los Angeles, Patrick was brought up living on a diet of Funk, Blues, Soul, and Jazz. Growing up in LA he trained as a dancer and performer, before going back to his hometown of St. Louis to study Dramatic Arts and major in Dance Studies at Webster University. Since then he has gone on to build a strong following and reputation with his live shows in L.A., New York and London.

With queues running round the block you're gonna have to get on the guest list to guarantee getting in! As Monday night is Patrick Alan's 'Music Box Live' night, at "VOLSTEAD" the hippest, hottest jam night in the UK.
Created by the legendary Patrick Alan, the 'Music Box Live' show is now in its 7th successful year with front man Patrick, performing as host and lead singer. With a tidal wave of new and established artists joining him on stage, it has become an official promotional stop for most US artists. And there is always at least one of the UK's hottest performing there each week. It is so popular that label publicist's are using the show to heighten an artists UK profile!
It was after Patrick had already organised several live showcases of new acts for record labels (with some having gone on to become household names), that Patrick's unending entrepreneurial nature came to the fore again and he decided to create a unique night mixing the exposure of fresh new talent with good times, partying, celebrities and much more.
Recent guest artists that have performed with Patrick and/or just frequent the 'Music Box' show read like a who's who of the music world, including (ok, deep breath.) Will Smith, Sean Paul, Anthony Hamilton, 112, Musiq, Chris Tucker, Blu Cantrell, Wyclef Jean, Macey Gray, Joss Stone, Roy ayers, Alexander O'Neil, Glenn Lewis, Angie Stone. Damon Dash, Nas, Black Eyed Peas, Estelle, Lionel Richie, West Life, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe of 'Blue' plus many more top class entertainers.
Patrick also uses MUSIC BOX SHOWCASE at "VOLSTEAD" on Mondays and "RAFFLES" on Tuesdays for showcasing new talent and indeed some have already started to become household names like Lucy silvas, Miss-Teeq, Katie Melhua, John Legend, Musiq Soul Child etc. Patrick has developed an enviable grassroots following during the years that Patrick has performed at the Music Box, with many world class artists and industry professionals regularly phoning Patrick to arrange an appearance either as performer or just simply to come down to MUSIC BOX LIVE to support or just chill.
What's Next For Patrick.
Patrick's current project is to produce a 'Music Box Live Album' featuring not only the great man himself but invited friends such as Will Smith, Blu Cantrell, Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean and many more.
