I would first like to establish that this is NOT Techmaster P.E.B. However, being that there are no official sites, I hope this will become the place where Techmaster P.E.B. fans can come to get information, share stories, and express their feelings on Techmaster P.E.B and his music.

History:

Techmaster P.E.B. (Patrick E. Baker) is one of the pioneers of bass music. Although considered a bass artist, it would be unjust to classify him as only that. If it had to be put into words, the style would be a mixture of hip hop, electro, techno, and even classical, being that the songs were actually compositions and more complex than your typical bass artist.

Some of the first singles “Listen to the Music” and “Still Strokin” (featuring Priority) were released in 1990. Also, P.E.B. did release a cassette/vinyl of the album “It Came From Outer Bass” in 1990.

His first major release was “Bass Computer” in 1991. “It Came From Outer Bass II” followed in 1993. In 1994, P.E.B. released the album “Bassgasm”. During the next few years Techmaster worked with fellow Floridian DJ Magic Mike and released the albums “Back In Bass” in 1996, and “Gods of Bass” in 1998. Also in 1998, P.E.B. released “Bass Computer 2000”. It consisted of some updated versions of songs off of the original “Bass Computer” album. It also contained a few new tracks. Newtown Music Group closed down in 2000 or 2001. However, an album of new and old material called “Ampology: The Bass of Techmaster P.E.B.” was released in 2003 on Kmedia, which also closed down. The “Ampology” album also included 2 songs from the unreleased Techmaster P.E.B. album “Suburban X”, which was supposed to be released in 2000, but due to Newtown Music Group being shut down, it did not see a release until 2009

It appears that ever since the fall of Newtown Music Group, not many people really know what has happened to P.E.B. Not even collaborator DJ Magic Mike has been able to contact him. I did however find a person who used to work for Newtown and said, “I speak with P.E.B. often. He is fine, healthy and happy.” I have also heard that he is still making music and he will have a website in the near future. Techmaster P.E.B. has made beautiful timeless music and I hope no matter what he is doing with his life that he will continue to make music.
