From the soaring vocals of Dave Lowe, to the shredding Guitars of Danny Wacker, to the great grooves of Bassist Craig Smyth, to the killer chops of celebrated drum virtuoso Pat Gesualdo, Iceland is an amazing rock experience!!
This Debut Iceland CD was produced/engineered by Eric Rachel (Symphony X, The Dillinger Escape Plan). The members of Iceland have been featured both together and separately at numerous independent rock/metal tours, including The Warped Tour, and rock/metal festivals in Norway, Italy, and Bavaria among other countries.
Dave Lowe's vocals are often compared to that of Rob Halford, Jeff Tate, and Steve Perry, but he has a style all his own. A very rare talent to find on the music scene today.
Guitarist Danny Wacker brings his experience of doing major shows and concerts. Danny has had Guitar duties for the Jesse Blaze Snider band (Dee Snider's son), and for top comedian Jim Breuer's metal band, which he features in his major comedy shows.
Along with the solid Basslines of Craig Smyth, Iceland Producer-Engineer Eric Rachel has also lent his Bass talent to a couple of Iceland tracks. Eric has produced and/or engineered too many major rock bands to mention, but some include Symphony X, Skid Row with Sebastian Bach, and The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Celebrated drum virtuoso Pat Gesualdo provides the drumming for Iceland. Pat made Drumming, Medical, and Education History all at the same time, with his Groundbreaking Drum Therapy techniques. Numerous celebrities, sports stars, and corporations join with Pat to help children fight disabilities throughout the world, with his non-profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities). In 2010, Alfred Music Publishing signed Gesualdo to write his hit Drum Instruction Book/CD "Drum Therapy," and millions of readers access Pat's exclusive Modern Drummer Drum Therapy Column. PlayAbility (a major toy company) sells Pat's signature "Drum Therapy Kit." DAD (Drums and Disabilities) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that helps children and adults with Autism, Dyslexia, ADD, Tourette's, Aspberger's, ADHD, OCD, ODD, and other disabilities, develop retention, coordination, self-esteem, and physical and cognitive functioning. The DAD Program is featured in Schools Systems, Hospitals, and Community Centers throughout the world.
