City Final is the band previously known as Passione Nera – a name taken from a song by Nerorgasmo, an '80s hardcore-punk group from Turin.
Originally conceived in late 2005 as an intimate venture into folk-pop waters, the project grew and expanded. In July 2008 the band released the "Research EP", which displayed a captivating blend of guitar-based pop, folk-rock and cinematic arrangements.
Upon late 2009, the band completed its transition to City Final (result of a 'minor face-lift' – as stated on the band's website –, in addition to much wandering between Italy and the UK), and currently performs with a new line-up.
The critically-acclaimed new album, "How We Danced", was released 6 June 2011 on Five to Midnight, and delivered via Unhip Records/Audioglobe. The record, mastered by Duncan Cowell at Sound Mastering (Richard Hawley, Billy Bragg), counts guest appearances by Liam McKahey (Cousteau) and Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta, Il Teatro degli Orrori, Baustelle, etc.), amongst other friends.
