Born and raised in the streets of Staten Island,New York or the 5th borough as we call it. I grew up influenced by the likes of Big Daddy Kane,Slick Rick,Biz Mark, G Rap,Busta,Red and Mef. I always liked a different sound when everybody was doing the samething I grasped my ears on uniqueness and originality. I never followed the crowed so to speak. My sister was the first to introduce me to hip hop when she purchased Slick Rick and Biz marks albums, the songs blew my mind. It was right then and there at 12 years old I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My journey began. By 14 I was reconized for having skills in the neighborhood and was introduced to an up & coming artist by the name of King Just, who in 93 was signed to a major record label Select Records and an indie label Black Fist Records. Which at that point Just wanted me to feature on his album, he then recruited me as a Shaolin Soldier and I started touring and recording. Due to the sucess of his first single Warriors Drum I was exposed to a large audience at a young age. I went on to perform at the first summer jam a NewYork based radio station called Hot 97 that sponsered the event,where I also was interviewed on their radio station. I was interveiwed on bet rapcity in 95. That same year I performed at the Jack the Rapper convention in Buena Vista,Florida. I performed at a death row party after being plugged in to e-swift of the liks. Also I performed at freaknic held in Atlanta Georgia at the time. In 96 due to the jack the rapper con being filmed I had a cameo in the movie rhyme&reason. In late 96 was when the two labels went bankrupt, with that the group was broken up everybody went there seprate ways. Due to my experience with touring and recording I feel it has seasoned me into the artist that I am today. Now more ready than ever am I prepared to shock the world with my music. Theres a few words to describe what my sound is, out of this world. Get set for the new wave of hiphop,for it starts with BABBI-PA. As rappers there is a certain standard to be reached as far as flow, delivery and stage presence. I feel I have incorporated those elements into my music. I am a determained artist ready for main stream exposure. The best kept secret as I like to put it. You will not be able to compare me to any artist out there. This is what you been waiting for and the wait is over!!!! With out further ado I bring forth to you thee one and only OB1 CANOBI (BABBI PAR)
