Paradise Daze is a four-piece band based out of Nashville, TN. consisting of MattDaughtry- vox/gtr, Chris Ross- Drums/BGVs Josh Hines- percussion and Donnie Green- Bass. Singer Matt Daughtry and drummer Chris Ross have been writing and playing music together since around 1997. They went through many different line-ups and genres of music playing everything from hard-core metal to punk and ska. It was around 2002- 2003 when they really started writing and crafting their own sound. The band From Down Herewith Daughtry, Ross and former bassist Kyle Logan were playing the local Nashville scene, and had even recorded a 5 song demo with local engineer TJ King at his home studio, which was later redone in MTSU's world renowned studios. The band stuck it out for about 2 years but conflict of interest got the best of everyone. After a shorthiatus drummer Chris Ross and singer Matt Daughtry got in contact with an old high school buddy who played bass by the name of Donnie Green. It did not take long for the band to realize Donnie was the right guy for the job. The band decided a new name was in order, a few names were thrown around but Paradise Daze stuck out toeveryone. Since then the band has recorded its first demo titled "Unity is Free" in Springfield, TN at ESP studios with engineer Brandon Cole. The band has been gigging every weekend including a spot at every Vanderbilt Football Game at home for the 2006 season. Paradise Daze has played many of the more prestigious venues in Nashville including The End, Mercy Lounge and Nashville's premiere venue thelegendary Exit/In. Paradise Daze recorded their first full length album titled "Irie Nights" in the wonderful Purple Mountain Music studios owned by Mr. John Neil Martin. The new CD was completed in the August of 08.In the summer of 2008 Josh Hines joined up with P Daze playing percussion full time. Josh has added a great deal to this band and continues to do so. Paradise Daze has their mind open to all kinds of music, their set list is guaranteed to make you dance. Paradise Daze plays original music but can play covers including a wide range of artists including Sublime, G Love, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Stevie Ray Vaughn,Tom Petty, 311, Incubus, Bob Marley and many more. Their original material definitely favors all of the artists above. All of the songs are positive and relay messages of peace, happiness, unity and freedom.

Heres what the people are saying about paradise daze
Paradise Daze followed up with a truly awesome
performance. These guys are undoubtedly at the top of the Nashville
reggae scene. Lead singer Matt Daughtry has a voice that is meant for
reggae music. It's easy flowing quality goes hand in hand with the band
as a whole. This is a band you can listen to and chill, beer in hand."Music city Muse"

The 2 part vocal harmonies were spot on even with the rapid fire lyrics. I was impressed by the bass player's ability to take the bass line, play pretty much the same line through a whole song, but still keep it interesting. His P-bass/Ampeg rig sounded really good and shook the little Boro to the core."Raul kemp"showsbigandsmall.blogspot.com

Hailing from the tropical island of . . . Middle Tennessee, Paradise Daze brings a positive message, danceable grooves, wailing guitar and deep, funky bass. Guitarist Matt Daughtry and drummer Chris Ross have played music together since the adolescent days of 1997. However, Paradise Daze wasn’t formed until a couple of years ago when the two linked up with bassist Donnie Green. Now, after recording a full length record last year at Robertson County’s Purple Mountain Music and acquiring a fourth member in Josh Hines on percussion, PDaze is going full speed ahead. Sit back and let some Southern boys take you to the beach. "Murfreesboro Pulse"

This reggae band brings listeners to a place of happiness and freedom. Listeners are hungry for feel-good music that sings to our souls about the realities of living in a tough world, yet finding a place of peace in the midst of turmoil."Murfreesboro Pulse"

Paradise Daze utilized the musical seeds planted in their hearts and have since watched them grow strong roots. The release of Irie Nights has brought them much press and deserved recognition in Nashville and surrounding areas. Influences include Sublime, Tom Petty, 311 and Bob Marley, and though they do play some killer covers, their original sound is something worth checking out. You’ll take this sound with you on your next beach trip, and if you have no beach trips planned for the summer, then don’t be surprised if you find yourself making your own beach in the front yard with an inflatable kiddie pool complete with umbrella, Paradise Daze echoing in the background."Murfreesboro Pulse"
