Paddington
The music of Paddington comes with surprises, and leaves you with a smile on your
face. With a mix of striking melodies and a sparkling sound, the band wants their music, as well as their message, to reach out to the listener. Their songs indicate that
Paddington sounds modern, yet they're more than willing to add a touch of 70s and
80s to their music.
• Along with the mission to make music with a positive energy and an elevating spirit, Paddington wants also to reach its audience on deeper level.
Through lyrics that deal with everday-life experiences, from the point of view of a Christian, the band wishes to give the listeners a glimpse of hope.
• Paddington started in 1997, and has appeared at many European festivals in countries like Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Slovakia. This fall they have released their fourth CD, "Blessed & Brokenhearted".
• During the years Paddington has also done appearances on television. In 1998, a music video was produced for the Finnish Broadcasting company YLE. In the year of 2000 the band performed live in TV at the "Gospel Countdown" concert. In 2002 Paddington played at a broadcasted festival in Slovakia, in front of thousands of people, among them the Prime Minister of Slovakia. In 2003 Paddington played live in studio at the talkshow Magnet, produced by YLE.
• The members of Paddington have also been active in other cohesions, among others
Praise Unit and Koju. Last year, the lead singer Johannes Ha¨ger released the CD
"Lovsa°ngsljud". He is also to be heard, together with drummer Massi Bjo¨rkgren, on
the jingles of the biggest radio channel in Finland, Radio Nova.
