The history includes people from Out Cold and Blood For Blood, to name two bands, but this is in more of a street punk 'n roll vein. A hearty dose of Rancid (without the ska), Tommy and Terrors and early Ducky Boys. Boisterous tuneful songs with a punchy guitar sound, sandpaper croonin' lead vocals and boys-in-the-gang backups. Over The Edge aren't reinventing the punk rock wheel but it's an enjoyable half hour or so. - Al Quint - Suburban Voice
OVER THE EDGE is one of the best local proponents of one of the most vile, disgusting, revolting forms of music known to mankind, which, of course means its the best, namely punk rock.
This is there first full length CD and it doesnt disappoint from their previous EPs. From the start this platter has explosive fast rhythms and the first song, Detonate is apt as its the first of many dynamic dangerous ditties like dynamite- going off in your ears tunes guaranteed to blow you brains to smithereens. The breakneck songs like that one and Television are great but I also enjoy the anthem like One Nation, my pick for top of the charts, and the influence of 50s rock n roll in The Kids and Do the Drag. Check them out before the worlds all blown away and your mind becomes like mine. (Slimedog - The Noise Magazine)
