OUTLAW NATION - NEW DAY - Biography

We really don't want to bore you with the usual cooperate music business mumbo jumbo that people write up for a bands biography hyping up the band or their up coming CD release. SO we wont. Instead this is what we are going to do. We are going to get right to the point.
The Louisiana based band OUTLAW NATION which is comprised of Christian Simeon, Danny Woolen, JB Baker and Jackson White whom are also known as the "!RUDE BWOY RAWKUZ!" have been spreading their eclectic brand of music for nearly 10 years that's a decade for all you smarty pants reading this. With a wide array of influences that run from Old School R&B to Heavy Metal to Reggae to Hip Hop and Pop. OUTLAW NATION is none of the above but all of the above at the same time, if that makes sense.

OUTLAW NATION'S sound finds the ears of it's listener like a cool breeze blowing in from the Gulf Coast and just like the traditionally native louisiana dish known as GUMBO that gives you a little bit of everything in the pot with it, so does OUTLAW NATION. They pride themselves with being a band you can truly find an assortment of musical joys with them but still see and hear it as one common theme. Lead singer, main songwriter and guitarist Christian Simeon wears his influences on his sleeve. " I grew up listening to The Police, English Beat and The Clash whom all had huge reggae vibes in their music, but they all had distinctively sounds all their own," says Simeon." " I also found myself listening to bands like Bad Brains and Fishbone as well so I found many different takes on what people took from the music genre of Reggae and made it their own."

OUTLAW NATION'S latest CD 'NEW DAY' is a collection of songs that found Simeon's common theme. From the first song "Mr. Fun" with it's bass heavy groove and beach party theme starts to set a mood for a trip through southern California beach towns on through to the rough streets of south Central LA and Compton with songs like "Don't Go" and "Stripper Girls". Both tunes play delicately with the reggae influences but are profoundly based in HIP HOP. The band even let's it's rock flag fly hard on songs like " Reborn" and "Dooms Day" which showcase the bands love for Psychedelic Rock and Southern Rock. (which is an odd kinship that is based on geography more so than lineage)
One thing is for sure with this band of musical mystery men. You will never get bored! 'NEW DAY' is packed with winners that make for a great disc for a beach party, a DJ spinning at a club or hell just wanting to spend a night alone. No matter what OUTLAW NATION has put together a CD for a 'NEW DAY'
