We all know Oslo is an anagram for 'solo' . do the handjive, my brother!! ;) - Simon Little.
The Oslo Hilton story:
Oslo’s career in the music business started out in the early 90’s as
Young Solo (His grandfather didn’t want him to be a singer), being
the youngest and only ‘ghost’ member of the slick UK boyband Gump
(founded by manager Roy Stump, also famous for inventing Boybands
Fairy and Stump). The band, fronted by Simon Little, had a string of
number 7s in the UK and a number 2 in Iran’s illegal POPTOP 10. A
violent run in with manager Roy split up the band, and made them
change their name to GULP and where opening acts for various UK Pop
acts around the turn of the millennium, not just dancing and singing,
but also playing instruments and himself being partially transparent!
By this time Oslo became frustrated with his “invisible” role in the
band. They played Glastonberry in 1999, but it went unnoticed, as
they all got lost. Except for Oslo, who, by that time he had such a
headache, he left the band also unnoticed. GULP reformed
especially for the STRFCKR Album sessions, in 2004 but by this time
Oslo however already went AWOL, disappearing after a gig he did with
the GULP-tribute band “Swallow” in a Youth centre in the outskirts
of Toulouse which was quite a strange affair, considering he was a
‘ghost’ member in the original band. Not much is known about his
whereabouts in his 7 year Hiatus, but rumours say he joined the
french Légion Étrangère to erase his past, others say he went back to
the States to work for his grandfather, whatever it was, the long
lost half brother of Paris Hilton showed up in Amsterdam in 2005
doing dj sets at various strip clubs in the red light district. A
year later a freak canal biking accident involving a seal, 5
strippers, 2 monkeys, a banana and Simon Little (founder of STRFCKR,
and ex visable band-member) made him get back in touch with his old
band mates. They let by gone’s be by gones and Oslo joined STRFCKR,
destroying the Girls Love DJ’s stage @ Mysteryland as the newly
reformed STRFCKR in the summer of 2006, (people from all around
actually fled!) Since then Oslo has been dj’ing at clubs all over
Europe, solo or as a part of the STRFCKR crew and being very visable.
