Orko Eloheim was a hip-hop artist ahead of his time. But now that musical advancements he pioneered—live-programmed beat shows, hip-hop infused with electronic genres, and drum-driven production—have come in style, the rest of the music industry has finally caught up to the future. Orko's time is now and he aims to spread the raw, primal truth.

Orko, an avant-garde rap legend and producer in his mid-30s, hails from the Southern California underground. He mixes the virtuosity of John Coltrane with the psychedelic approach of Jimmy Hendrix, wrapping it up in the afrofuturism of Sun Ra. With more than 20 projects under his belt, he's worked with innumerable artists such as Aceyalone, Saul Williams, Gonjasufi, and even Rick Rubin.

In 2002, he signed to avant-garde UK electronic label, Ninja Tune/Big Dada, along with rapper Bigg Jus of Company Flow fame. Together as Nephlim Modulation Systems, the duo released two ground-breaking albums, Woe To Thee O Land Whose King is a Childand Imperial Letters of Protection, with Orko providing the futuristic, paranoia-inducing soundscapes. Since then, his music has been the backdrop to everything from Adult Swim programs to sociopolitical documentaries like The Money Fix featuring Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn.

Now signed with AIR, the fledgling label of left-field artist Gonjasufi, Orko hopes to spread his musical truth even further. He's currently working with producer Ras G from LA's vaunted beat scene. He's also working with Japanese artist Kaigen on an international collaboration. New disciples! Follow Orko Eloheim now into the future of music.
