Orcus

Orcus began in 2005 when John Paul Fernandes and Hayg "The General" Terzian began to collaborate. They quickly formed a band and began to actualize their musical vision. In 2006, they recruited the line-up that was to release their first record entitled "Birth". The lineup for the record was Andrew De Lange s, Chris Moore on drums, and Karo Torosyan playing the bass. Chris Moore parted ways with Orcus and was replaced by Emin Abdalian, and keyboards were eliminated. Due to the dualistic nature of the Orcus vision, the group decided to adopt a female vocalist. Melanya Torosyan (no relation to Karo) accepted the role.



Orcus is currently working on their second record entitled "Eternal Recurrence". E.R. is expected to be released early 2009 to mid 2008. The group is expecting the new record display an acute sense of maturity as compared to Birth, and is a testament to their progressive nature.
