This myspace was created simply for the purpose of commemorating one of the great punk bands of the last decade. ONE MAN ARMY was a San Francisco based trio consisting of Jack Dalrymple (lead guitar/vocals), Heiko Schrepel (bass/vocals), and Brandon Pollack (drums/vocals). Their sound was categorized as classic punk / rock and roll with its rough edges and catchy melodies, but to limit them to a specific genre would be impossible, considering the lyrical content and song structures go far beyond any one specific area. ONE MAN ARMY formed in 1996, releasing their first two full-length albums, Dead End Stories and Last Word Spoken, on the East Bay label, Adeline. Their third full-length record, Rumors and Headlines was released in 2002 on punk label, BYO records. ONE MAN ARMY loved touring and improving their sound often staying on the road for a year at a time. After ONE MAN ARMYS second record, they replaced their old drummer, Brandon Pollack, with former U.S. Bombs drummer, Chip Hanna. Chip brought a fresh new element to the band with his undeniable drumming style, and vocal talents, complimenting the powerful efforts of Jack and Heiko. ONE MAN ARMY was a true punk rock band with a sound that was undeniably catchy and strong, helping to cement their position as one of the great punk bands of the last 15 years. In 2004 though, ONE MAN ARMY called it quits after releasing BYO Split Series Volume 5 with Alkaline Trio. Jack has since formed a new band with Chicken from Western called DEAD TO ME on Bay Area label, Fat Wreck Chords. And, as of October, 2005, Heiko permanently joined U.S. Bombs (Chip Hanna's old band) as a bassist and Chippy is doing his own thing as well. ONE MAN ARMY was a true punk rock band, evident by the fact that the impact made then can still be felt just as strongly today.
