Old Street Musical Union have a sound that is theirs and theirs alone. With each member of the band bringing their own distinct thoughts on what makes good music, their style honours the best traditions of indie, ska, country, blues and pop.



Against this backdrop are absorbing, story-telling lyrics about office lust or brain-dead celebrity culture. By turns they're acerbic, rueful and funny - but always honest. The songs are rooted in the band's own experiences, and those of the people around them, of the highs and lows of London living and all that goes with it. Their music evokes the British observation of the Kinks and Blur mixed with the US roots traditions of the likes of Dylan and Cash.

Rich three part harmonies, great musicianship and killer songwriting are at the heart of their music and provide a continuity of sound that sets them apart.
