MTV X-Quisite!

With the inspired direction of then 16 year old Nicole Holness as its founding member, X-Quisite took the Canadian music world by storm with the 2002 hit “No Regrets”. The single burst onto Canadian airwaves and became the years most played song in several categories. Co-written by Nicole and producer Trey Mills, to date the song has received close to 20,000 spins across CHR, Hot AC and AC radio.
The second single “Bad Girl” became a top 30 success, and the third single, another Nicole co-write “Sassy Thang” became a top 10 single, hitting number 1 on many radio station count downs while being nominated for a 2004 Juno. Fans have also heard her songs on shows such as Soul Food, Degrassi Junior High and MTV Live.
In 2005 Nicole was recruited by MTV Canada where she continues to co-host the hit show MTV-Live with Daryn Jones. While managing her television duties, Nicole has hosted countless events and fundraisers while performing various shows. In the summer of 2007 her club release “Watch Me” hit the top 20 on the national club chart and in January 2008 her club “Hott Like A Mutha” also hit the top 30 on the national club chart (2 Canadian song following Nelly Furtado). Both songs were co-written by Nicole.
Hailing from a Jamaican, British, Irish, Scottish, and East Indian background, Nicole draws from similarly diverse musical influences. Fans can rest assured that Nicole won’t be straying far from X-Quisite roots, but they can expect to hear a bold evolution with the forthcoming CD thanks to contributions from Hip Hop Legend KRS-One, Multi-platinum Grammy winning mix engineer Ken Lewis (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey), Latino rapper Frankie Biggz (Madonna, 50 Cent, Eminem) and production by fellow Canadian Trey Mills.
