Merkie Merkz / Dan Tien

Merkie Merkz aka Dan Tien has been songwriting and performing since 2003 with producer Kid D. He has always been involved in music since the age of 5 when he became seriously involved in drumming. At the age of 13 him and Kid D decided they wanted to get serious in the music scene. At the time they recorded N.A.S.T.Y. crew sets every tuesday on Deja Vu religiously and thought hold on."They should be playing our tunes" Around these time Kid D was producing garage. Merkie said to Kid D "Ima get sum turntables and i'll be da dj and u can be da mc" When they finally got a pair of soundlab turntables Merkie wasn't content with just mixing and started writing.Kid D continued mixing and producing.but wanted to be mixing his tunes and thats when they got on to releasing their own records.and so the saga begins. Merkie is currently working with his group Dark Skyz ent which was formed officially late 2007. Dark Skyz ent consist of Singers, Songwriters, Mc's, Dj's, Promoters, Video production and Producers.
