New Hip Hop star Octayne is a modern age griot, a story teller; a street narrator with a worldly Vocab. His sound (an incredibly engaging baritone) and lyrics give a clear picture into the mind and thoughts of the modern day generation.

The 25 year old Hip Hop Star from Boston USA, emigrated to the UK and has since used this to his advantage by incorporating the American hiphop foundation coupled with his Ghanaian roots and UK exposure to produce a Unique sound which transcends race or region.

After years of Leaving fans breathless after performances and perfecting his craft in the studio it is finally time to unleash the beast that is Octayne on the general public, With his eagerly anticipated 1st Major Release 'IGNITION ZONE -The Ep'



WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM 'IGNITION ZONE THE EP?.



Firstly 'IGNITION ZONE' will be a WORLDWIDE DIGITAL ONLY RELEASE (EXCEPT AT OCTAYNE LIVE SHOWS).Retailers will Include Itunes , Amazon MP3.etc (30 in total)



'IGNITION ZONE' is a summary of the trials and tribulation he has encountered in life to date, some from his travels, some from his exposure to life and having to grow up quickly. Including actually putting a project together as an Unsigned artist with no outside funding or management and getting it out through major distributors.



There seems to be a an Industry format at the moment,

Release a Mixtape then an Album.



Octayne chose to deviate from that format in order not to be pigeon holed as clearly stated in his Lyrics on one of his songs 'I'm not a rapper ,Im a musician, actually am a rockstar'.

Also, 'Generally' when you hear a mixtape from an artist it is usually full of other people hits -(i mean the beats).and the artists tend to either consciously or unconsciously pattern the lyrical delivery of the original artist.



This means the Mixtape track can be hot.But rarely is it better than the original.



That is why Octayne decided Jump out the gates straight with an EP for the surplus tracks that didn't make his already completed debut Album (Pressure Pointz)



This way you get to sample a few of the different styles and thought processes of his writing and delivery style.



I certainly hope you enjoy the Ep as much as i did and i think Octayne is here to stay,



He is a breath of fresh air to the Music industry at the moment.
