New Jersey native O Coop discovered he pos-

sessed a musical talent at the age of 7, when

he began rhyming. Growing up with an inquisi-

tive mind, he faced the challenges the streets

of Newark had to offer. O Coop learned the harsh real-

ity of life and its struggles at a young age. Embracing his

gift of expression, O Coop penned his experiences into

his rhymes, creating music that was authentic and relat-

able. His music was heartfelt and would become a por-

tal used to uplift, motivate, and enlighten his community.

Although several musical genres have influenced his passion

as an artist, O Coop attributes his close friends and mentors

Shakim (CEO of Flavor Unit) and Kay-G (Naughty By Nature)

for educating him on the business aspect of the music industry.

In 2000 when the first studio was built, Ghost City

Ent was established. O Coop spent the next few

years recording and perfecting his craft, and in

2005 he released his debut LP “Why Me” which

gained him recognition in the streets and the indus-

try alike. With a witty, charismatic presence O Coop

went on to sell over 40,000 units from the trunk of

his car. Over the next few years O Coop released

over 20 mix-tapes and began performing in ma-

jor arenas with some of the biggest names in Hip-

Hop. O Coop has shared the stage with Lil Wayne,

Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Jaheim, and RL to name a few.

“O COOP HAS A WORK ETHIC

THAT IS UNDENIABLE AND A

DRIVE THAT IS UNSTOPPA-

BLE. HE STANDS OUT AMONG

THE REST. “

O Coop’s single “Can’t Wear Skinny Jeans” was an

instant hit, being added in rotation on Hot 97, Streets

96, and in clubs spanning the entire east coast. As

momentum continues to run high, O Coop is ex-

pected to drop another mixtape “Only God Could

Judge My Gangsta” on May 19th hosted by DJ

Scoobdoo, under his infamous Street Religion series.

O Coop has a work ethic that is undeniable and a

drive that is unstoppable. He stands out among

the rest. More than an artist and performer, he is

a young, black entrepreneur. Priding himself on

consistency and growth, music lovers can expect

dynamic music for years to come from O Coop!

“I am more than just an artist and a performer. I am

a mogul. I represent an engine of young black en-

trepreneurs that understand struggle and treat ev-

ery chance as an opportunity. Our Music is Relative.

We care about the community; being entrenched

in that struggle has allowed us to relate, uplift and

shed light on several issues. Whether it is our re-

lationship with children or Gangsters, they are

all enlightened by the movement,

WE GOING!!!”
