NUTZO

I go by the name of Chris Clark a.k.a. NUTZO. Some say I’m a rap star that has yet to be noticed, but I say I’m a humble musician willing to work my way to the top. Music is embedded in my soul. I’m twenty-five-years young with plenty of energy and great determination to follow my passion and reach my destination as a top recording artist in the rap industry. I’ve been recording rap music for over ten years. I started my rap career in a family group of five; “Zone Deep”. We independently put out two albums. After being in that group for three years I had a desire for more personal growth and that is when I ventured into a solo career. During the following two years I was affiliated with Nu Vibe Entertainment where I started to really mature as a recording artist. I have been recording with Sleep Deez (Black Diamondz Music Group) for almost 5 years and continue to drop the cleanest sound in Bakersfield from his studio.

During the last five years I have realized that there is no one who has as much invested in my future and advancement as I do, so I have stepped out on my own and began to really mold myself into the artist that I’ve become. Most recently I have been working on enhancing my writing skills and spit game. I have performed at a number of local venues, accumulated countless self-written songs, and literally transformed into an industry ready package. What sets me apart from others is that I study the rap game; what’s new, what’s hot, what’s lacking, and I am constantly learning. I make sure that my music stays relevant with whatever is going on in the streets to ensure that I maintain the interest of my fans.

Last year I released a twelve-song demo that has my hometown in a frenzy. I have sold/given away numerous copies. Bakersfield, California is a small town, but I am known to bring “Big City Flow”. My next project, which is now complete, with my fans anticipating the upcoming release date, is a eighteen song mixtape. I’m doing my thing in the studio with SLEEP DEEZ/BLACK DIAMONDZ MUSIC GROUP to beats like “Cyclone”, “I'm so hood”, and “Umma do me”; of course putting that NUTZO twist on 'em that anyone is guaranteed to love. The demo and mixtape are all promotion for my self-titled album, which is due to be released sometime next year. Once the mixtape has dropped I will be working relentlessly on my album. I have already began recording songs with artists like SUNNY ROSE/BLACK DIAMONDZ MUSIC GROUP and J-HEAT/BLACK DIAMONDZ MUSIC GROUP.
