NUTMEG

This intense and non-compromising band started in the north of Sweden in a small industrial town; Örnsköldsvik – a town only marked on the map because of their ice hockey players. The band wanted to make a statement, “Music should not only be listened to, it should touch the listener and hopefully knock them out!”
In early 2009 their debut album The Trigger was released. 14 tracks of untamed and raw “hardcore/pop”. Their short, punk-ish songs with hardcore attitude and melodies flooded with distorted hammond organ have knocked both critics and the audience to the ground. Reviews often draw parallels to bands like Fugazi, Jon Spencer and At the drive-in to find a way to describe NUTMEG.
The second album is currently in production and will be released during 2011. The first single from the album, entitled “Space” is released this spring.
