NUTENDRA (Pronounced Nute & Dre) production team, based out of Piscataway, New Jersey are the most sought after Hip Hop producers in Middlesex, New Jersey. Dre, formerly known as A.lo from the Hip Hop group Nativ Stranjerz, has been a producer/artist for over 15 years. Originally from Flatbush, Brooklyn via Trinidad, Dre has performed with the likes of Talib Kweli, Digable Planets and Jamariqui just to name a few. His single “Addict” (1994), with his previous group Nativ Stranjerz, was in heavy rotation on New York radio station Hot 97’s Ed Lover & Dr. Dre show and was used by Hot 97 to promote their new show, “Future Flavors”. In 2004, his group Nativ Stranjerz was featured on Vibe.com as one of the hottest and most original unsigned groups for that year. This was his last venture as an artist. In mid 2004 he met NUTE, a local producer in Piscataway, New Jersey. They combined forces and formed the production team now known as NUTENDRA. Nute introduced Dre to some of the hottest MC’s in Middlesex, New Jersey: LG, featured on tracks with Jada Kiss and a favorite on Star and Buckwild’s morning show on Hot97; and the Budhite Knights, winners of the 2006 Underground Music Awards. NUTENDRA recently produced an intro for Raqiyah May's from Hot 97 which can be heard on their myspace page and can also be heard on Raqiyah May's myspace page. Now it’s time for the world to be introduced to the innovative production styles of NUTENDRA. Their sound is definitely next level as they stray from the monotonous Hip Hop production that now saturates the industry.Their use of obscure samples, live instrumentation and soulful basslines definitely sets them apart from the norm. They now await the opportunity to add recognizable major label artists to their resume.
