Bay Area born and bred NUMP aka NUMP TRUMP possesses the talent

and musical passion to turn heads in the entertainment/music industry

with his charisma, astounding studio resume, and his street credibility

all obtained at such a young age. He began rapping at the age of ten; participating in schoolyard battles and ciphers, to gain the respect of

his peers. Although early on NUMP was often doubted as an emcee, the

period after his high school years played a major role in NUMP's musical development which would ultimately lead to a career pursuing his passion.

Besides DJ'ing and making compilation tapes with his brother/producer

D1 the Knockaholik, NUMP started working with numerous street marketing teams in Northern California which landed him a gig with Def Jam West.

The job at Def Jam allowed NUMP to tour with the West Coast portion of

the "Hard Knock Life Tour". Upon returning home from tour NUMP enrolled

at the local community college and accomplished an inspirational task on receiving a music certificate at Diablo Valley College. This led to enrolling

and graduating top rank at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and

Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. His placement of internship landed him at

Studio 880 in Oakland, CA. Here NUMP worked for free as an intern with

artists like Green Day, Smash Mouth and Iggy Pop. At first, NUMP did not

intend on working with this particular genre of music, but he did whatever

it took to stay in the studio and gain valuable experience behind the boards.

Fortunately for NUMP hip hop group, Blackalicious, moved into the studio C portion of Studio 880. Already working for free, NUMP jumped on as an

intern with Blackalicious. At this time, NUMP was interning for free and putting

in close to 60 hours a week, but soon opportunity came knocking on his door. The owner of Studio 880 introduced NUMP to Michael Denten, the owner of Infinite Studios and a west coast mixing engineer legend. Infinite Studios

was the home to a majority of bay area rap artists. In time NUMP was titled,"House Engineer," at the studio and achieved his career goal to be an engineer working with all the artists he grew up studying: E40, Messy Marv, Rick Rock, Keak Da Sneak, Nate Dogg, Mac Dre and many more. He is also credited on mixing the solo album of funk legend, Michael Cooper, and for conga legend, Giovanni Hidalgo. These experiences opened up a whole new universe of music to NUMP, which strengthened his studio knowledge as an artist. You can hear the drastic growth and maturity in the sound and attitude

in each of NUMP's releases. NUMP believes that the unique experiences at Infinite Studios have been major contributions in making him the enduring

all around artist he is today.

His fifth release and second solo album, "The NUMP Yard," was released

in late 2005 on his own label, Bay Luv Records. The album features guest appearances by bay area heavyweights E-40, the Federation, Mugzi,

Droop-E, Turf Talk, and many more.
