NORTHERN LEAGUE - UP

The intense and energetic hip-hop duo, Northern League, kicked off their career not with an album or single, but with a slew of television,soundtrack and movie appearances.Founding member A.B. -- named after One Life to Live soap opera character Asa "Ace" Buchanan -- and prodecer FS Beatz met while attending high school in their hometown of New Haven, CT. After graduating and quickly recruiting Keith Logan from another group,the trio cut and began to shop their demos, while also making their mark in the mix-tape world, racking up 20,000+ sales independently. At the same time,Northern League developed budding relationships at MTV Networks and landed music placements on a number of the network's shows, including The Real World, Yo Momma, Bam's UnHoly Union, and Parental Control. Producer FS Beatz (Ming+FS) took notice of the group, quickly signing them to his label, Hustle Now Recordings (Hustlenow.com). The team immediately cut tracks that would later appear in shows at other major television networks -- ESPN's Tilt, HBO's Entourage, and Showtime's Weeds -- and in the world of film (The Architect, Delirious). In 2007, Northern League’s list of credits continued to grow, as their music was featured in CSI: MIAMI, Rob & Big, Newport Harbor, and their smash track, "Gone In Sixty Seconds," was used in the major motion picture Stomp The Yard.
Northern League's debut album, Wet Paint, delivers sophisticated yet flashy street anthems that stick with you. This one is sure to deliver on the block and in the burbs in 2008 the release earned the group BillBoard Magazine featured artist and breakthrough artist in Hip Hop Connection.
Their list of credits grew once more featuring new music in MTVs Making The Band 4 as well Paris Hiltons My BFF series.
In 2009 the Hustle Now VOL 1 CD won the HBV cd of the year award as well as the newly released GISS video taking home the HBV video of the year, with new members adding to the already solid foundation the team has several Hustle Now projects on deck stay connected the best is yet to come
