Nonparail

Let’s go back in history for… uhm… about five years. or even better, let’s go back to the last century, let’s go back to 1998, where three fine young men, or maybe just boys, were blessed to form a group of musicians, which was formerly known as “Nonesuch”, “Nonsuch” or “Leper Messiah”.



At least, these guys, respectively this band, came to the conclusion to call themselves “Nonparail”. The origin of the name derives from “nonpareil”, which means a person or thing without an equal or rival. by the way, at this time no one knew about the meaning of the final name, but who cares.

Anyway, some rehearsals made it obvious, this thing was gonna be big, although they still not and I should’ve written “will” instead of “gonna”, but that’s not the point, ‘cause they’re still growing big. Even a liar can’t deny that fact, you know.



So the band was founded, the music was floating and only one gap was left to fill: How to describe their music? Some said it’s Grunge, some said it’s Metal, some said it’s Rock, none said it’s Punk, another one said these guys are kinda sick, so the easiest way was to mix that whole shit up and to entitle it totally new. The “Para-Rock” was born, not sick enough to be ill and not enough ill to be insane, just between everything.



These days they’re four musicians, trying to spread their music wherever and whenever they can, Gunther, Sascha, Christian and Johannes will kick the world at its most sensitive spot, they will spit on those who don’t know – be a part of it – luv Nonparail.



Nonparail hat sich anno 1998 in Passau formiert. Erste eigene Songs und Auftritte sind in den "Geschichtsbüchern" ab 2002 verzeichnet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist bei den Auftritten das 26. Passauer Pfingst-Open-Air, bei dem sie sich die Bühne u. a. mit Tocotronic, Donots, Knorkator, Sugarplum Fairy oder Muff Potter teilten. Neben weiteren kleineren Festivals haben sie Clubgigs in Regensburg, Nürnberg, München, Passau, sowie an verschiedenen Orten in Österreich absolviert. Fernsehauftritte im Bayerischen Fernsehen ("Südwild"), online bei "doschauher.tv" oder auch bei einem kurzen Ausschnitt auf Pro 7 als "Unparail". Nach zwei Liveaufnahmen "Unclean" (2002) und "Inverse" (2003), folgte 2004 "A Last Good Buy", eine Low-Budget-Produktion. 2007 wurde die Demo-EP "Hit Upon Whatever" veröffentlicht, der schließlich 2009/2010 die aktuelle Demo "Para Parade" nachfolgte. Ihre Musikrichtung lässt sich grob unter "Rock" einordnen und detaillierter unter Indie-Rock mit Grunge-, Alternativ- und Metalzügen, kurz gesagt unter Para-Rock, so wie sie ihren Stil selbst betiteln. Dies liegt nicht zuletzt an den Einflüssen der Band wie beispielsweise Nirvana, Deftones, Metallica, Queens Of The Stone Age u. v. m.



Auf der Bühne kanalisieren Nonparail alles was sie individuell zu bieten haben zu einem einzigen allumfassenden Energieball, der einerseits Druck erzeugt und andererseits Melodien darbietet, die nicht mehr vergessen werden wollen. Nonparail sind mehr als nur echt. Go out and touch em. in a legal way!
