NO MO TREVNO

*****No Mo Trevno started some years back as a mainly instrumental surf-rock band set up by surfalicious guitar-player David De Maegd and born in the wild monster-powerhouse drummer Pieter De Wilde. Very soon American singer Cindy Barg joined the team. She has a unique voice and can produce a professional portion of decibels. Cindy acquired a lot of experience singing with bands like Blue Blot with BB King bandleader Calvin Owens, Ozark Henry, Skeemz and Merle&Mabel. She is able to pump the necessary soul, blues & jazz into the sound that has become "NMT" or No Mo Trevno, a sound that is also put to perfection by thee bass player Yves De Mol and the ever excellent guitarist Jakob Haghebaert (along with Pieter he once founded the death metal band Illyrian, 2nd place Humo's Rock Rally 2002).



This team of five practiced hard and developed an individual sound in which influences of surf-music are mixed with thunderous rock, groovy funk and dirty punk.
No Mo Trevno has been building up a strong live reputation and earn audience respect everywhere they go.



In 2006 No Mo Trevno won Demopoll (a contest on the popular Belgian radio station Studio Brussel) with instrumental song 'The Hitster'. In 2007 NMT took first place in the 'Oostvlaams Rock Concours' competition alongside bands Team William, Hong Kong Dong & NMT friends Kapitan Korsakov. In March 2008, their first single 'Soul Power' is launched. This evidently shows that No Mo Trevno "NMT" not only evoke admiration while performing on stage, in the studio this band also creates a spectacular wall of sound!!
