Nomad-I

Nomad-I's family hails from Naples, Italy and currently lives in Medford, MA. While growing up around many friends of Jamaican descent, he was introduced to reggae music at a young age. This exposure allowed him to learn the language and influenced him to begin writing music himself. Nomad-I has been recording and performing since 1997 and was formerly known under the artist name Mad Ant. His repetoir holds a long list of performances alongside artists such as: Collie Buddz, Elephant Man, RedFox, TOK, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Mr Easy, Bounty Killer, Fat Joe, 112 and many others.



Recently Nomad-I has been written and reviewed in The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, even the world renowned Skope Magazine (July/Aug). He has also been named Lockdown Entertainment's Artist of the Month in September of 2007. Nomad-I's greatest achievement to date may be his acceptance of the "BEST NEW ARTIST" award in reggae's prestigious Joe Higgs Music Awards in 2008 and Winner of "BEST INTERNATIONAL ARTIST"in 2009. Some of his other nominations included Best Stage Performer, Best International Artist, Songwriter of the year and the Rising Star Award.
