No Love Lost

We're not down with the hopeless, esoteric, self-pitying themes that seem to be trendy in contemporary hardcore. We think that self-defeat, helpless teen angst, and the whole "there is no hope left because i am dead inside and not even kittens can revive the soul I don't have" thing are all song-topics best left to emo bands. While we may have a few token "having your heart broken sucks a lot, you guys" songs, we are NOT another one of those dime-a-dozen bands whose lyrics and whole musical sound reflect the futile nature of existance.
We think that hardcore is a strong medium that can serve as a powerful catalyst for social change and personal improvement, as well as an outlet for anger and frustration. Making the most of this fact is what we strive for, as individuals and a band. To do anything less would be to relinquish our responsibility as members of this community.
As the classic Trial song goes:
"Make this a movement again instead of only a scene
do you realize what that means?
What we make of this energy is everything, and in the absence of passion
our screams are worth nothing."



If you are in or into one of those bands with hopeless lyrics and a gloomy sound, we respect your right to do what makes you feel fulfilled. Something somewhat different is what fulfills us, however. And we are driven by the constructive impact that this scene has created, can create, and will continue to create.
