"Music expresses that which cannot be put into just words and that which cannot remain silent" Victor Hugo

After working hard in Dallas, the debut CD "Beneath These Rusted Reasons" is finished. Working with critically acclaimed with producer Will Hunt (Shane and Shane, Shawn McDonald, Ryan Cabrera, Robbie Seay Band) and his recording team, the 9 song EP features 5 songs recorded at Space Way Studios. It breathes emergent pop infused rock with some southern flavor. The first single "Free" is an instant burst of energy. Undeniably the lyrics and the music stay with the listener long after the song is over. Other songs such as "This Train Is Bound For Glory" and "Preacher Man" speak of living a life for more than just ourselves. Gracing the lyrics are jagged southern pop rock flows and stomping beats with a mix of funk and blues. The title track "Rusted Reason" is an openly soulful anthem about love, loss and moving on. The final tracks were added in Chicago and Portland featuring 2 live tracks. The record is intentionally eclectic featuring songs from the singer/songwriter genre, to pop infused blues/funk/ and rock

An adopted Texan by way of Chicago, Nirup Alphonse is finding his way in life and singing about it. Shortly after leaving college in 2004, he made his way back down to Texas to discover not only his voice but his faith. Influenced by so many people and situations his push to write music and sing continues to grow everyday.

"I'm always just trying to push harder and harder for these songs. I know I have something to say, and life not just for me, but for all of us gives us so much to write about. I'm just trying to write about things in my life and hopefully it reaches others in a way where they can relate."

In Texas, Nirup discovered what he was looking for and was surrounded by musicians who not only inspired him but taught him as well. At an early age of 6, Nirup spent time in a Boarding School studying music under the Royal Academy of Music Program. He later went to Trinity International University where much of his time was spent playing basketball for the team. But music was always on his mind, and the business of music always fascinated him. Already into college, he picked up the guitar and began to write. "I never wrote things to sing them to people. I know it sounds cliche, but it was just for me.a way to get out all the things that were going on in my life."

Currently living in Chicago, Nirup is working hard to get the music out where it can be heard. Whether banging on a keyboard or strumming a guitar, he is continually writing and singing songs that speak of brokenness, love, forgiveness, grace and redemptionlife.
