BOBBY NiO - 'i DO ME'

********************************BIOGRAPHY*****************************

Just as in nature cross pollination creates breeds that are stronger wilder and more beautiful than before, so it is in music.

A 24 year old with the name Bobby Nio is that very description, with a definitive ability to sing, write, produce and vocalize in an array of edgy distinctive soulful tones, he is the latest in the long line of cultural remixers to fuse multi genre influences into his work. He soaks up the music around him, shakes it up and sprays it back out through a filter of his own natural artistic talents, to dazzling new aural morales.

Drawing inspiration from an eclectic collection of music, ranging from urban production from the likes of Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, to the quirky and trans-genre concoctions from the Bjork’s of the world, Nio has made a point of creating an emulsion of ‘mainstream’ but ‘out-of-the-box’ music. His marriage of using electronic sounds and reverbial authentic instruments, partnered with a blended collage of beautiful melodic harmonies, original song titles, edgy beats and blurting synthesised baselines, Bobby Nio’s solo music stands out a mile in a world of copyied recycled formulae.

According to his Mum, the first notable thing he did in music was to sing himself "happy birthday" at the age of one, noting his distinctive singing ability.

He grew up loving soul music from Micheal Jackson to Mariah Carey and later got into his pre adult fauchets such as garage/ hip hop/ electro and drum n bass.

His roots set as a second generation irish man - his seed sewn and grown in the urban multicultural meltingpot of northwest London.

The undeniable consistency of Bobby Nio’s song writing skills have thrust him to the top of many a respected producers wish list. Innovate hit-making legends like Liam Howlett (the man behind The Prodigy) and Mark Brydon (the man behind Moloko) have already enlisted Bobby's unique talents, and to great effect, the snowball is only getting bigger.

Following his own instinctivley led passion, to focusing in on writing and producing behind the scenes, the ever-morphing 24-year-old has, to date, been penning potentially massive chart-busting hits for the likes of the Sugababes, working with the whos who of producers in the european music industry and boasting a massive back catolouge of diverse work, showing he can cut the mustard at both ends of the musical spectrum.

Bobby has song placements released all over the world, most recently including Australian artist Hugh Sheridan covering his anthemic song 'Alright' produced by Johnny Douglas (Kylie, George Micheal, Tina Turner) and also features song writing for Danish act Outlandish on their latest album with a song called ''Someday'' featuring Bobbys dream like vocals. Bobbys writing and vocal skills were also recently lent to a project released by european dance duo Kraak and Smaak. Bobby wrote the title track 'Plastic People' co -produced by Mark brydon from Moloko fame, which the group then named as their album title. It has now gone on to recieve massive worldwide support, from outlets like London based BBC RADIO ONE, and American television shows like Jimmy Kimmel live.

Despite numerous comparisons, and whilst peers seem to be copying current trends, he maintains that his has always been something real, original and worthwhile.

"Ive always done my own thing, i'm an artist, and the experiences i've had in the music business have just totally reaffirmed how important it is to be true to yourself."

Even a young Bobby Nio was highly sought after. He started with making noise in a sector of the industry, and got signed at the tender age of just 18 by UK record company "THE Echo LABEL", who released acts such as Feeder and Moloko.

During his time with them a string of innovative lowkey 12" releases were outed to the UK underground, selling out in record shops, racking up much deserved number 1 slots in official tables like the BBC 1xtra charts, and street respect amongst the youth with titles such as "Music Aint Dead", "Rago" and "I Do Me" being a few amongst the releases. The domestic success of his better known self penned single “Do You Think You’re Special”, then being known as just "Nio", saw him touring up and down the UK, supporting chart-topping acts and being asked to perform live on tv shows like like 'T4 On The Beach', experiencing the rush of playing to an audience of at least 50,000.

The matured proverbial ‘music-brain’ of Bobby has rapidly grown into that of an unadulterated, majorly prolific and even more diversifying artist, with his own original and distinctive edge.

BOBBY NiO is that wild rare breed of talent that can go unrealised and undiscovered to the world for a while, but not for long.
