Nilze Carvalho

Nilze first received attention when she was only eleven years old, and got her first album released. Choro de menina introduced the young girl playing at the mandolin pieces of chorinho in a way that even experienced musicians found astonishing. In the following years she kept recording other chorinho albums and also playing on the stages of Brazil, USA, Japan, Spain, and other countries. After a period living abroad, and starring more shows, she came back to her country and in Rio de Janeiro joined, among other musicians, the Sururu na Roda band. This group plays regularly with great public success in Rio, as well as other states, and occasionally in other countries. I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
