Night Night is the lap-pop alias for Dana Gumbiner, a singer/songwriter producer/engineer from Sacramento, California. Formerly a member of the band Deathray, Dana now owns & operates a studio called Station To Station in Grass Valley CA, and is a senior contributor for TapeOp magazine. Night Night has been described as a "blurry amalgamation of Speak N Spell affirmations over warbled tone poems, stuttered rhythms and heartfelt clicks and beeps". Night Night's inspirations include the music and work of Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Erik Satie, John Carpenter, To Rococo Rot, Memory Tapes, Andrei Tarkovsky and Haruki Murakami. Night Night toured Europe in the spring of 2008 for the first time with Jonah Matranga and performed as part of the first Sacramento Electronica Music Festival January 28-30, 2010.
