Keelay & Zaire "Slick Talk" featuring NightClubber Lang from Okayplayer on Vimeo.

Simple and plain Karim aka Nightclubber Lang is an emcee. Karim is an emcee that lives and breathes the culture and business that is hiphop. Born and raised in the Bay Area, with a long stint in Seattle and the NW, Karim aka Nightclubber Lang is back in the Bay with a take no prisoner’s attitude.

“I guess I’ve done about everything you can do in the game…Radio host, DJ, Emcee, Concert Promoter, Club Host, Journalist, Producer, Record Label VP, Management, Beat Broker, Blogger, Tour Booking, Built from Skratch TV show creator… and now currently I’m a record label owner and I do Business Development for a dope 24 hour Music Network MYX.”

Karim moved to the NW 10 years ago and joined hiphop supergroup Oldominion. Along with fellow Oldominion members Onry Ozzborn and JFK (Grayskul), Sleep, Pale Soul, Snafu, Sirens Echo, Mr. Hill etc. the crew created a dark and aggressive NW sound and became the first artists from the region to tour the US and Canada extensively. From there, N. Lang and his partner Destro and world renowned DJ, DJ Scene formed the golden era hiphop crew Boom Bap Project in Seattle. The crew released the critically acclaimed self released (Stuck Under the Needle/Fat Beats) project “Circumstance Dictates” in 2001. The trio ended up touring the US and the world, and finally signed to indie hiphop record label powerhouse Rhymesayers Ent. “Getting with the Rhymesayers family was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to us. Hands down we’ve got the best label in the game!”

After signing to Rhymesayers in 2004, Nightclubber Lang and his crew hit the road hard and spread the gospel that was their 2005 release “Reprogram.” Establishing close friendships and alliances with super producers Jake One (50 Cent, De La Soul, Freeway, M.O.P.)Vitamin D (Young Buck, Redman, Gift of Gab) the crew helped spread the Seattle sound to the rest of the galaxy.

2007 brought more touring and the opportunity for Karim to expand his horizons and move into television and label ownership. “We were on tour with Brother Ali in Texas and I got a call about a job back in the Bay with a dope upstart Asian American Television Network. They needed someone with the know how and connections to help with Business Development and Events, and to run a brand new, network backed record label…MYX!”

As we speak Mr. Lang is finishing the next Boom Bap Project album (with ridiculous production from Jake One, Vitamin D, Illmind, Veterano, M-Phasez, Keelay and Zaire, amongst others), working to expand the MYX / Built from Skratch viewership across the globe, and running the MYX Music Label. With a distribution deal with RNLG/KOCH in tow, and some of the games best music makers already on the squad (Fortilive, Keelay and Zaire) Karim hopes to take the MYX Music Label to the next level. “We got so much heat and a great team here at MML (MYX Music Label)…we’re about to take it as far as we can possibly go!” Things are definitely on the up and up for Karim, Boom Bap Project and MML. Now it’s time for the game to take notice…once again!
