Mr Jones

Nigel Grimshaw-Jones is a singer songwriter of mainly original songs. Gentle lyrical ballads, catchy rocking beats, and emotive vocals reminiscent of Bryan Ferry or Chris Isaac, take the listener on a trip through a landscape of eternal possibilities.



His debut album 'Laughing in My Mind' was produced by the excellent Sam McNally (ex Stylus) and Song 1st Productions and harnesses the exceptional musical talents of Jamie Wilson on Guitar, Peter Cupples and Jo Elms on backing vocals, Lewis Pragasam on Drums and Sam himself on Keyboards.

Thirty years in the music industry Sam has worked extensively with Tim and Neil Finn, Johnny Farnham, Air Supply, Marcia Hines, Dave Dobbyn, Sharon ONeill, Girlfriend, Seals and Crofts and numerous jazz legends including Louis Shelton and Dave Koz.



This debut album Laughing in My Mind was conceived and produced in a remarkably short time, from the mind of an artist that was long overdue. Although he now resides in London, Nigel is originally from Auckland New Zealand, the home of Split Enz and Tim and Neil Finn

(Crowded House).Auckland contmporaries include John Quigly (Nairobi Trio) and Benny Staples (Wooden Tops).
